Math: Geometry A

Description:

This course is an introduction to Geometry.  Topics include points, lines, and planes in two and three dimensions, parallel lines, congruence, similarity, and major categories of angles, triangles, and quadrilaterals.  Postulates and theorems are explored and applied through compass/straight edge constructions, Geometers Sketch Pad projects, problem solving, and two column proofs.  


Prerequisite: Algebra 1A.

Calculators: a simple four-function calculator with a square root is all that is required.
