Licensure & Certifications:

Natasha holds a master of arts in psychology from Naropa University with an emphasis in contemplative psychotherapy. She was inspired to become an adolescent therapist while mentoring at-risk youth during a year of national service with AmeriCorps National Civilian Conservation Corps. Natasha has held a senior therapist position with a therapeutic boarding school and clinical experience has primarily focused on working with issues related to depression and anxiety; poor academic functioning; family and peer relational issues; trauma; adolescent development; individuation; and transition. Natasha has participated in professional trainings related to Brainspotting (a trauma processing technique); shame resiliency; and Internal Family Systems. Natasha hopes to pursue full certification in the Internal Family Systems modality of therapy and has found that it fits well in work with adolescents. Natasha has also worked with adolescents in group home and addiction treatment settings.

With her roots planted in western Montana, Natasha came to Montana Academy through the recommendation of a professional mentor. Natasha's love of the outdoors and incorporating experiential activities into therapy provides flexibility to work with a wide variety of students and be creative in meeting therapeutic needs. As a contemplative psychotherapist, Natasha understands the importance of building a strong relationship with students and families; exploring beliefs; getting to the root cause of issues; teaching mindfulness and acceptance; and focusing on process over content. Natasha still finds inspiration today, especially in the courage of the students and families she works with. She believes it is truly an honor to be part of their journeys toward health and happiness.
