We asked parents in retrospect, how they felt about their decision to send a son or daughter to Montana Academy,
We would like to let parents speak for themselves. Rather than showing a sample or selected few of their replies, we have paraphrased all of them below.

Overall, after a year, how do you feel about your decision to send your child to MA?

1) Fantastic! Incredibly grateful for MA. Saved him.
2) Good, weep with gratitude every day.
3) Good, very glad. Student admits it was the right decision.
4) Absolutely a good one and student agrees even though there was a rocky period.
5) Good, really important part of her life. Very influenced by the community and helped a lot.
6) Excellent! In a crisis at 16, lots of anxiety. The process of going through the MA program was highly productive.
7) Good, he really thrived at MA. Didn't like some of the pressure, but needed the structure. Came to love and enjoy his peer group.
8) Thrilled, he worked through his issues, doesn't get mad, makes sure issues are resolved, cares about relationships.
9) Good, Sky House is instrumental.
10) Good, was not in school for a year, was stuck at home playing video games. Now actively involved in college.
11) Good, right thing to do for student and family. In a better place now than before MA.
12) Best thing ever did. Lucky to have found MA. Amazed at the program.
13) Good, 100% positive, saved his life.
14) Good, kept him safe during a real vulnerable time. Best place for him during this time.
15) Good, was at a loss to know how to help and MA was a perfect place to send him.
16) Mostly good. Feel good still in-spite of how things are right now.
17) A difficult decision, but with what she learned through the staff, it was absolutely the right thing to do.
18) Better than good. Best experience for student and one of the best for mom..
