The Montana Academy Clinical Psychology Doctoral Internship Program is a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC).  Our Internship Program is not yet accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), although we have been working towards acquiring APA accreditation. 

Montana Academy uses the APPIC AAPI , and we participate in the APPIC Match .  The doctoral internship application due date is December 10, 2014.  Applicants will be notified of their interview status by January 15, 2015.  Following the interview, the Psychology Internship Training Committee will make its final selection of interns by the start of February, submitting our Phase I Rank Order List by February 5, 2015.  Please see the APPIC website on Internship Matching Program for more information on various deadlines.

Two training candidates will be selected to participate in our internship program for the 2015-2016 year.  Intern candidates must have passed their doctoral comprehensive exams by the start of the APPIC Post-Match Vacancy Service date, March 24, 2015.  Approval of dissertation proposal is preferred but not required. 

All materials are reviewed by MA Psychology Internship Training Committee to find potential match between applicant’s interests and career goals and the internship’s training goals.  APPIC Ranking of candidates will be conducted by Psychology Internship Training Committee.  Law requires fingerprinting and criminal background checks.  Internship conforms to all APPIC selection policies.
